Chicago City Day School Reviews
We have had nothing but the most positive experiences at CCDS thus far. It has exceeded my expectations, even in kindergarten. My child's schedule included science, art, drama, music, gym and foreign language four times a week on top of the reading and math they do in their homeroom. I would describe every teacher we have experienced at this point as attentive, kind, engaging and dedicated. We are very happy with the curriculum and the school atmosphere as a whole. I feel that my child is cared for not only on a scholastic level, but as an individual. It's like family here at City Day and that is something my child thrives on. I think every grade has taught developmentally appropriate material and I love that technology is used to supplement the teachers' curriculum, not used as a teacher itself. They get enough iPad at home! City Day is a place my child feels like they belong. As a parent, having a happy kid who is receiving a stellar education is all I can ask for.
The best small school experience around! Such a caring family. My children have thrived here! Their growth, independence and confidence is seen by everybody who knows them. They love going to City Day and they love learning! Thank you so much Chicago City Day School!
I recently graduated from City Day, and I have had a wonderful experience. During my time at City Day, the teachers were kind and helpful. My class as a whole will be attending eleven different top high schools. City Day prepared us well for entrance exams and the high school experience. The school offers a variety of sports including volleyball, basketball, and soccer. I played both basketball and volleyball in fifth through eighth grade. In seventh and eighth grade, my basketball team placed second and third in the championship games. The after-school program was really diverse. One of the special things about City Day is the ice-skating program. The school has their own ice skating rink in the winter. I participated in French baking and yoga. Other clubs range from chess club to friendship bracelet making. The thing I loved the most about City Day was my classmates. My friends became my family and I'll always have fun memories of my time at City Day.
