When i first went to Cheyenne High School my freshman year i thought i was going to the worst school in this city. I was wrong. At Cheyenne, I have not only made great life-long friends, But have excelled in my education. The AP classes here are not so bad and some of the teachers are very helpful! Overall, My experience at Cheyenne was something i will remember. It is not the best school but that is okay because if someone wants to succeed, He/She will succeed wherever they go.

Cheyenne High School, like any other school has both good and bad aspects to it. Some good things would include its encouragement to be more involved in clubs and sports. The morning announcements include both the time and date in which said activities will commence and when they’ll end. One thing that the school needs to change is the attitude that some teachers take with students. If you find yourself in a class which isn’t Honors or AP, the teachers tend to be condescending towards students and don’t even bother to teach the material that they’re handing out, they’ll just give out worksheet and expect students to understand it. This issue only seems to occur outside of AP and Honors classes.
Improve by doing more school wide events. The music and sports teams are really good. Hold more community events. The teachers were nice and involved in student studies. They should improve by being more involved with the community. The student body is diverse. There are many clubs that anyone can join. The teachers make their best effort to reach out to the students. There are many opportunities offered to the student. They can improve by taking more student suggestions for events. The Trio program offered here really helps with college, testing, and fees. The multicultural fair and club fest are great ways where the school reaches out to the community.
