I love this school because everything is really personalized. The school is so small that the teachers know everyone and build strong relationships with us all. One of the things I love about this school is that they listen to the ideas of the children, for example, last year i asked if the school could show us some college options and help us get some information about them and at the beginning of the year we went to the state wide college fair. That was the first year the school went to the and they are working to make it an annual tradition. If a student is having a personal problem that is bothering them to the point they can no longer work or they just need someone to talk to, there are many staff members that are willing to take a few minutes to see if they can help you. If you have an academic question, even if they do not know the answer, they will help you find the answer. They are constantly working to find more academic programs that offer a variety of programs outside the normal high school classes. If i could go back and redo my education i would have enrolled in this school as soon as i moved to the area. This little school is much better than Jenkins High school.

I believe that the teachers really care what happens to every student that attends the school. The work very long hours to make sure that everything is ready for the students when we come back into school. Everyone that works at the school will stop what they are doing to help a student in need no matter what they need. I have never met a staff that cares so much about each and every student, its incredibly inspiring. Our secretary goes out of her way to help the seniors filling out college applications, financial aid and even class work. The staff at this school work together very well, I think their doing a great job.
There are not a whole lot of safety measures at this school, however, there is rarely ever a problem. there has been a small problem with bullying in the past but there isn't a whole lot they can do about that. There has never been any drugs or contraband on compass to my knowledge. This is a small school in a small town, not a lot happens here.
