Chesterton is reliable high school that provides a good education compared to other schools in the area. The education is well rounded and the classes were not bad by any means, I only rate it three stars due to the fact that I was not too fond of the administration and how they handled situations. I am close with multiple people who have had a very hard time during high school, some worse than others, but in all of these situations I firmly think that the school did not do a good job whatsoever at dealing with these situations. The school also was not prepared enough or knowledgable enough whatsoever when they decided to switch over to one to one, giving all students devices to utilize technology for more efficient education. The school's wifi is incompetent considering every single student is expected to use a device daily on the internet. Aside from my complaints about administration misjudgments and internet ignorance, I can not complain all that much about Chesterton.

I enjoyed the teachers at Chesterton High School. I made numerous relationships with my teachers over the years. They helped me go above and beyond. When I didn't understand something, they would stay after school until I understood the material. I also felt comfortable talking to teachers about personal issues as well. The teachers mentored me throughout my whole high school career. However, the overall environment at CHS isn't very friendly in my opinion. I was apart of one extracurricular activity my freshman year, and that was the only time I participated because no one seemed to truly care about the program. It seemed as if the students didn't want to work together, yet they wanted what was best for only themselves.
Chesterton Senior High School offered me a variety of new and exciting experiencers that caused me to truly grow as a person. Moving from Southern California to Northwest Indiana was extremely tough, but the faculty at Chesterton cared deeply about me and my situation and provided me with every opportunity to make my junior and senior year of high school memorable and valuable. Robert Blumenthal, one of the vice principals, will forever be a role model of mine for changing my view of attending this new school. The sports programs offered me a way to form lifetime friendships and assume a leadership position that would prepare me for the rest of my adult life. Teachers like Mr. Gland and Mr. Hackett make this school truly unique. I learned a plethora of life lessons that I will never forget from Chesterton.
