Chesterton Academy Reviews
Rating 4.21 out of 5 24 reviews
Chesterton is the best! Regarding academics, I find school to be challenging but super enjoyable. We have normal classes like math and lit, but there's also a big focus on the arts and such. Many of our classes are discussion-based, and the ones that aren't still end up in important conversations. The teachers are great at explaining whatever you need (especially random/off-topic questions/philosophical problems). They definitely like to pile on the homework, though!
Regarding the community: practically everybody, from the staff to the students, is Catholic, and discussions about the faith seep into just about everything. We have daily mass (epic!) with confession available after, theology class, grade-level retreats, the Handmaids next door, and the adoration chapel and church to pray in before, during, or after school. The small class sizes mean that students are closer to each other and more welcoming to new students. This makes it so much easier to find virtuous, lasting friends.

I love this school. It is truly a joyfully Catholic school that embodies a culture of life. Send your kids here if you want them to grow in their faith. The education is also great. These past three years have pushed me intellectually, especially junior year. The teachers are helpful and available for extra assistance.
SO grateful for this school! It has taught me a variety of things, from how to be a good friend to how to be truly happy. I have grown incredibly as an individual since going to Chesterton. The teachers here want you to succeed and genuinely care about your problems and needs. Also, the Catholic community at school is one of the best, as we all have daily Mass, adoration and confession, as well as class retreats which bring us closer to both God and each other. I don't know of any other school that does that for its students. Thanks Chesterton!
