I am incredibly privileged to be attending Cherokee High School. There is a seemingly infinite amount of amazing teachers who all truly care about each student's education, because every teacher I have ever encountered has offered me or other students individual help and is willing to take the extra time to assist others. I always feel included and like I truly matter! The school spirit and involvement from both students and teachers can be intense, it invades the classrooms and gets people fired up for the daily grind of classwork which is something that now, upon thinking of it, is something I have never seen at any other school. This culture is heavily promoted by our brilliant aforementioned teachers! Not to mention the several teachers who have dedicated their time to teaching me material beyond the curriculum during free time for my own benefit.

Overall, I had a positive experience with this school. The teachers and quality of academics were both excellent, and I graduated from here feeling extremely prepared for college, especially because of the plethora of AP and Honors courses offered. It's quite a large school (~2,000 students) but all of the clubs and organizations they offer as extracurriculars help make the school not seem so large, as you can easily find "your people" to be friends with in such organizations. Couldn't recommend it enough!
Looking back on my years at Cherokee High School, I am very appreciative. The staff was incredible and really challenged me to do my best (particularly my senior year). Cherokee offers a very large variety of classes. Coming to college I realize how lucky I have been to be exposed to classes like draft and design, architecture, electronics, astronomy, mathematics up to Calculus BC. I have had so much more exposure to different topic areas than most of my friends who also went to high school in New Jersey. I also loved Cherokee's extracurricular activities. They had so much to participate in. Whether you are looking for a sport, an academic club, or musicals, Cherokee had it. They are a highly ranked in sports and their shows are incredible (I can say from watching them and having the opportunity to participate in a few of them).
The only thing I will say is that the school is fairly large and was anxiety inducing my first few years of attending. Overall great school.
