Cheboygan Area High School is an amazing school and includes many opportunities for the students. There are so many CTE programs that are included within the school’s classes. The sports portion has many choices to pick, if you are interested.
My experience at chs has been very good. The classes are so helpful with preparing for the future and there are so many options. Majority of the teachers are very willing to help their students succeed. One thing I would change would be the bullying, but that’s nearly impossible to take care of. Overall I love it there.
There are so many different things to get involved in at Cheboygan Area High School. For clubs we have: Key Club, FOR Club, Cheer Club, Book Club, Harry Potter Club, Glee Club, Rotary Interact Club, and Art Club. Organizations we have: National Honors Society, MITES, CTE, Student Council, and also I believe we have some outside organizations, along with clubs too. Many students, and even teachers commit to theses clubs and organizations. For instance, there have been 28 members who are apart of Key Club, which is an amazing thing! Some of the popular things to get involved in are most definitely National Honors Society (NHS) and Student Council. NHS we have about 60 some students enrolled in it right now, which is superb that our school is dedicated to help out our local communities and our school. Student Council is a very fun thing to get involved in because you can connect with your class, and the other classes at the high school which is an amazing thing! With all of these clubs and organizations, the administration is also super supportive of all of it. They let the students use their rooms after school, and for Key Club and Book Club the teachers are actually involved! For the kids who don't have anything to do after school, we also have a Youth Center in town for kids to play air hockey or other games, or even meet up for a club.
