The school uses the arts as a focus for learning so often assignments are given that can be completed in an artistic way, to play to one's strengths and interests. It is also an accepting school, where students are encouraged to be themselves and explore different aspects of their personalities and characteristics. The only problem with the school is, just like every school, there are some cliques and groups and sometimes people are made to feel left out. However, this behavior is strongly discouraged by the administration, staff and even many of the students. In general, it is a great school!

My overall experience in attending this public magnet school is filled with opportunity, frequent outreach, and advanced level academics. Being a vocal major us as students are offered multiple opportunities to exercise our talent and perfect our craft. This ranges from auditioning to solos within class, participating and all east and all state, taking part in CCA Idol or the talent show, getting one on one vocal training from our music director, etc. Next, students have the option to meet with your teacher before school to get one on one help, stay after school hours for tutoring and or rehearsal, email them, and so on. Our teachers are flexible with helping us in way that fits within our schedules.Last, our teachers and other stuff push us to enroll in classes that promote critical thinking, problem solving, and perseverance. This is applied in both academics and our preferred arts major. You have the option to take on more challenging classes like AP or Dual Enrollment.
My experience at Center for Creative Arts has been great! CCA is a great place where you can express yourself through your desired arts. One thing that I must acknowledge about CCA is how little bullying there is compared to many other schools in the county. There is virtually none and when there is, the faculty is quick to take care of it. One thing I would change, however, would be the lack of sports and physical education at the school. PE should be a class that is taken more often than just one semester.
