I transferred into the Chatham Central School district on the middle of my eight grade year. I felt welcomed right away. I joined the bowling team and was welcomed right away. The teachers made my transition painless. The food was alright, not spectacular, but edible. The teachers and students interact well with each other
I absolutely feel that the teachers are approachable and have a open door policy. Over all, my experience in the Chatham School district was a positive one.

Kudos to the Guidance Department at Chatham for greatly assisting in the fraught transition from a private school to the NY public system. Guidance was critical in navigating the arcane requirements of multiple Regents Exams, etc etc. They also went above and beyond with applications and assistance for overseas college admissions and the US Military Academies. He helped overcome many of the inherent limitations of being in a small, rural school district.
At this school I have met a lot of good people and there is always a positive and supportive atmosphere. The academics overall are average with there being some amazing teachers and some not.
