A lot of the upper level teachers were amazing. They pushed me to try my hardest. As long as I put in the effort and tried my best, they were willing to help me out in any way. Those teachers became my close (but professional) friends My teachers truly wanted what was best for me and tried with all of their might, going the extra mile to help me and other students out. I still go back to visit those teachers often and care for them. Although it it's less of the schools fault and more of a funding issue, we did have frequent problems with things breaking (toilets, stall doors, sinks, projector screens, desks, etc). But, I truly loved the amount of technology. The engineering team currently has three 3D printers (as of 2018) and the library has one that all students have access to! Chatfield had amazing course options like computer programming, ASL, religious studies, and more that weren't offered at other schools in jeffco.

I thoroughly enjoyed going to Chatfield Senior High! Although it would get annoying not being to use the D hall bathrooms and I was often late because of the short passing period, those small annoyances are overshadowed by being involved in our awesome theatre program, having administration that makes me feel like they genuinely care about me, and having teachers that are pretty positive.
Chatfield performs very well academically within the Jeffco School District. To my knowledge, we consistently rank third on academic performance, right after D'Evelyn High School and Evergreen High School. Chatfield offers a wide variety of classes, and many advanced classes as well (the only issue with those is whether enough students sign up in a given year to take them). Almost all of the teachers are wonderful, great at what they teach, and care about their students' well-being as well as their education. Chatfield doesn't have an amazing amount of diversity, as it lies in the whitest, most conservative pocket of Jeffco (although in my experience the students have been pretty evenly-divided politically), but some friends and I have started initiatives to expose students to the diversity of people and life experiences around us.
