I have been going to CSPA since my freshman year, and I love it! The teachers are very nice, and the classes are very challenging and fun! I have made some of the greatest friends at CSPA, ad I have learned to be more confident in myself and my capabilities. The school has high expectations academically and socially. Students are expected to be respectful of their peers and teachers and to do their best in class. I have thrived in the environment at CSPA and I think many more will too! The school also has great extracurricular programs! The robotics people are super cool and do a lot of fun things! There are lots of sports programs, but I have never gotten into sports or robotics programs. I have, however, participated in the art program exponentially. The art program is great! Creativity is encouraged and skill is built in all academic areas. Creativity is allowed in lots of different areas too! It’s a great school overall, and I recommend it.
Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy is a great school. The emphasis on academics is very beneficial for all students. The varying levels of classes they offer allow everyone to choose the best fit for them. I especially enjoy the IB program. It's challenging but worth it since I know I will be prepared for college. The school's also really working on incorporating more clubs and after-school activities. For example, DnD club, the Art club, sports obviously, and there's even a drama club. I was a part of the drama club this year and it was a great experience. There are more as well but I am less familiar with them. The building is small but easy to navigate and you don't have to walk so much in between classes. It's a charter school and is very different from a regular school environment. There is no bell and students sit at tables with each other instead of at small desks. The teachers are really nice and always willing to help. Great staff and good expectations for growing children.
Having gone to this school district since Kindergadren, it is quite safe for me to say that while no school is perfect (this one included), this school is a really good place.
Almost every teacher I've ever encountered had full intentions on teaching and supporting. They have helped me get through so much in all my years of schooling.
There are many school related opportunities despite the school being smaller than most and there have been multiple options for clubs and groups at the school. Official school activities such as Robotics are incredibly popular. Smaller clubs pop up and pass on depending on who gives them life.
There are so many academic options such as IB and AP classes. The general workload is rather fair and I feel this school is much more acceptable in terms of homework and actual work. I personally believe there is less 'fluff' material demanded of students to waste time on.
No school is perfect, but I feel this is a great one to go to.
Thank you
