I enjoyed the activities offered. I was terrified first coming to CV for high school after going to catholic school my whole life, but eventually, by sophomore year, I felt very welcomed. I have made some of my best friends through theater and the advanced classes I took, and I wouldn't trade that for the world. However, I am not a huge fan of the lack of communication and some of the teachers in general. Overall though, this school has been pretty great to me and I am so glad my parents made me go here!

Although Chartiers Valley has its drawbacks, the school still stands as a decent institution. CV offers many AP courses for both the core curriculum and electives. The school is diverse with people of many backgrounds, and there are immigrants present. Especially in honors classes, teachers are very positively memorable. Clubs are diverse.
There are cons to the school. For example, administration is poor and the school board focuses a lot more on the engineering classes are barely funds the arts. The school was recently transferred to a new building, so budgets are low. There are been pipe bursts and gas leaks in the new building, so safety is not the best as of current, but the building is excepted to be polished.
Overall, the school functions quite well for those living in the Pittsburgh area despite the negative aspects.
Chartiers Valley is a place to gain a well rounded education. All around the teachers are willing to help you achieve your goals as well as the rest of the staff. The only slight issue is that there is not any real freedom anymore. You cannot even leave your study hall without a pass granting you access to the hallways. But other than that it is a good place to get educated and become prepared for the next level of adulthood whether that be college, the army, or straight to work. No matter what you want to do with the rest of your life the school will try and help you make it.
