Charter High School of the Americas Reviews

Charter High school of the Americas is a very strict school, somehow old-fashioned. Although it is an A school, it does not offer AP courses but Spanish Literature. The environment is very familiar and caring. Faculty is very committed to the intellectual development of students but sometimes they lack the professional orientation to address college-related matters. Parent involvement is essential. Decisively, No Bullying! and No Drugs! As mentioned before, CHSA is well equipped to address all the prior social condition and possesses the qualified outreach. Overall, It an A+ school!

From the very first time I stepped a foot in Charter High school of the Americas 6 years ago, I felt like I was welcomed by everyone, the teachers, students and even the janitor ladies. To begin with, I believe that what makes this school special to me personally is the connection that teachers have with their students, this is because they do their very best to explain everything at the best of their ability, they are very patient and understanding about their students' situation and are very caring with their students. Although we are a small school and we don't have that much diversity like most other high school would, we do not have a violent environment, fights are basically inexistent and dilemmas such as: Bullying, drugs, or gangs are not things that students have to worry about at all. I believe that the education in Charter High School of the Americas is our biggest attribute since at the end of the day we have maintained our A school status for 4 years.
Please think again before you decide to send your children here. The teachers know barely enough English to get by, most of the time looking to students for the pronunciation of words, the facility is dirty and crawling with roaches, insufficient security, insufficient first aid preparation for staff. Furthermore the level of coddling and laziness your child will encounter here is astounding. Moreover, drugs are a HUGE issue. Students frequently bring e-smoking devices or marijuana in edible form. If I could rate it zero star I would but unfortunately I must settle for one.
