I really like how there are only four high school classes per semester for ninth and tenth graders. The workload may be a lot but, it definitely prepares each student for the college courses they should be able to take starting their junior year. Like any other school, each student will like some teachers and other teachers not so much. But, in my experience, I have not had any issues with the teachers. Instead, I have been able to go back to my former teachers and ask for help and most would be happy to help. The building itself is really small. But, considering that the number of students per grade has been reduced it kind of makes sense. Out of a list of thing I wish the school would change or add it would be to add more extracurriculars. Finally, one very important thing I must add is that if you find school spirit and sports an essential component to your High School experience CEEC may not be the right choice for you.

I have attended this school since the second semester of my freshman year. I came from a more traditional high school, one that was much bigger than this one, but that fit me more. This program is not for everyone, due to how rigorous the courses are and how much unlike other high schools it is. If you strive to do well in both high school and college then this program would be the best fit, but if you are looking for a traditional school experience, then this may not be the best pick for you.
Charlotte Engineering Early College is a very unique opportunity within Charlotte. Though the school building is small and the work seems quick-paced and hard, it does prepare you well for the college courses you will eventually take.
