A majority of my teachers provided a kind learning environment. However, the school failed to fund programs fairly. The clubs and classes that were treated well by administration shined, but others were left to fend for themselves. In addition, the school is filthy. Most of the time, there is no soap in the bathroom! The stalls doors are usually broken and when a toilet breaks or cannot flush, they simply put a garbage bag over it, thinking this solves anything. I had some of the greatest teachers at this school, but I don’t think I could tell you who any of my counselors were. This is because when students try to reach out to them, they abandon their office or send kids away. They develop favoritism with some kids and then refuse to deal with others.
I think they could improve significantly by providing a variety of fairly-supported activities, cleaning the school every once and while, and making kids feel like they are not just another number at the school.

Flanagan High School is overall amazing and has a great learning environment! There are various chances to excel academically, such as with AP and Dual Enrollment classes. There are also diverse programs, such as clubs, music, art, and sports that students can participate in. The faculty do a wonderful job teaching and guiding students to a good life after high school, and security makes the school a safe place to be at.
I enjoyed going to school at Charles W. Flanagan for the friends I made while I was there, some of which I still have at my university. My favorite class while in high school was physics. Being exposed to it here while in my senior year showed me how interesting it could be. So much so that I decided to major in it! Overall, even given the numerous incidents that occurred during my time there (2012-2016), easily found with a quick Google search, I believe that Charles W. Flanagan High School helped shape me into the person I am today, and has guided me towards where I want to go in my future.
