Overall a good experience, a great place to be! The teachers( for the most part) are great and truly care about their students. The sports are awesome along with the clubs. The diversity is lacking, but that is just due to the surrounding area. The school could do more to make the environment safer and to also hear kids opinions. Sometimes it feels like administration only cares what adults think about the system which can be frustrating at times.

School here was alright, I was one of very few African Americans and I felt it the seclusion. Certain teachers are nice for certain subjects it just depends on it you receive those teachers. My best advice is to ask previous year students and ask directly for those teachers the summer before. Most of the lunch ladies are also bus drivers so you’ll get to know them pretty well. The food is great an amazing salad, sub, wrap and panini‘s. We had the most amazing soups but the government said they were too high in sodium. That was a disappointment but through my Baldwinsville school district I met my bestfriends, struggled, succeeded and pushed through everything that was thrown at me. But it’s like every other school, a community.
Baker is a very good school in comparison to other schools in the area. They have a solid academic program, great lunch program, and have good sports teams and music program. However, there are things that need to be improved. Bullying is an issue that goes unnoticed or victims are not helped. There is also an issue with where extracurricular money is going. There are select sports teams (football, soccer, volleyball) that constantly get money funneled to them. Other sports teams do not get that luxury, as well as other clubs or activities related to music, art, science, or something else.

Overall, Baker is a good school. Great teachers, great safety system, and plenty of good resources. However, favoritism is showed towards certain students and certain organizations within the school. this favoritism is only encouraged by the administration and needs to be stopped so that all students receive the highest quality education.
