I would expect the teachers and counselors to be more proactive when they identify that a student needs additional support.
The staff members and teachers go out of their way to know the parents. There is a guard who has to buzz anyone into the school and then collects their official ID information.
The students and parents are encouraged to be involved in the school and after school activities. All students understand the rules of the school and is followed very well.

The codes of conduct is well administered and followed.
The school district and PTO are both very involved in providing after school programs that are fun and challenging, and most important, diverse for the student population
This school is committed to positive school Spirit. The coaches are very capable and support the students.
The school provides the students with wonderful cutting edge learning programs, state of the art sports, music and art programs. I believe the communication can be improved between the teachers, guidance counselors, parents and students.

They do provide a challenging curriculum for all students.
I have no qualms abouty son's safety at school. School emergency procedures and emergency plans for each student are well thought out. An emergency email and phone system are in place. Luckily the district has only had to make use it for inclimate weather closings. Safe and secure and breathing easy as I send my child to school and I go to work.
The building is clean and well kept. Technology is a priority, as class sets of iPads, computer labs, smart boards and online homework pages kept by teachers are all used regularly and efficiently. A new district initiative has teachers piloting new ways to offer student -teacher interactive message boards. Weekly emails to parents from the school and school district list serves keep parents informed and up to date. Lead teachers often send out weekly reminders and updates as well. Transitions between schools (elementary toiddle and middle to high) operate like well oiled machinery. Guidance counselors orchestrate parent information meetings, which are supported by teachers and administrators. Rising 6th and 9th graders get a chance to visit their soon-to-be school in stress free ways, adding to the excitement and reducing stress a new school can bring. I would recommend this school system to any and everyone!
