I can’t say enough great things about this school! Living in Virginia, I did not think attending a school in Maryland was even possible. The moment we stepped foot in CESJDS, I knew It was the perfect place for my son. It was risky switching schools his Junior year, but it was the best decision we made for him academically, spiritually, and socially. The teachers are very approachable and invested in the well-being of all students. There’s such a tight community and the students share a special bond. My son loves the small class sizes and the close relationships he has made. He loves starting his day with morning Minyan and learning in a pluralistic setting with his Jewish peers. I can go on and on about how this school has impacted my son in the best ways possible. To quote my son, “ I’m in the best place of my life!” If you are Jewish and want to give your children a meaningful, impactful, Jewish education, this school is for you!
Really nice environment! It's a beautiful school with great teachers, high academic rigor and a really motivating setting. There are lots of clubs and activities. There is no football team or band though. Having gone there for every single year of my schooling, I am professionally proficient in Hebrew, was ready for college by the time I got there. It's a very expensive school though
We are so happy and impressed with CESJDS. The school, administration, teachers, academics and athletics have succeeded our expectations in every way. So much intention, purpose and thought has been put into its design. We are blown away by the teachers - their level of education, their lesson plans and HOW they teach. Their passion is contagious. We have been awed by the school’s recognition of the whole child and his/her emotional, physical and mental stage in life and how to work WITH them to achieve success. After graduating from JPDS, we considered other private schools in the region. Our daughter chose JDS, but told us very clearly that she was going to leave for 9th grade and go to a high school that focuses on horseback riding. Within months of attending JDS, we knew we had made the best decision for our two children. Even better, when we asked our daughter if she wanted to apply out for high school, she said “No way! I love this school!”
