Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School Reviews
Rating 4.28 out of 5 36 reviews
Classes are very small and it’s easy to form relationships and connections with teachers. Most teachers are always willing and available to help students individually. But it can also be very demanding in terms of work and assignments and very stressful. Student life has some problems, there’s a lot of close-mindedness and not much diversity. You don’t have to be very religious to go there, but there is a rigorous dual-curriculum and mandatory judaic classes.
Great faculty aside from a couple of teachers. Ultimately, each faculty and staff member looks out for each individual student and their success. Jewish culture is existent but not overtly present. The school culture is very communal but also competitive which is toxic, however, the faculty are very helpful in assisting students that need help or are overwhelmed.
Loved the academics, teachers are very passionate and dedicated. Lots of extracurricular opportunities and good overall school culture
