Chantilly is a very diverse environment. There are many clubs that will suit your interests and my favority part is the amount of CTE Academy classes that you can choose from. The academy teachers are very in tune with students and teach you important career skills as well. My favorite classes were Pharmacy Tech and Exploring Health Sciences and taking the pharmacy class even allowed me to participate in an internship. Everyone bonds well with each other and most have common academic goals which helps to lessen the stress that everyone feels. Overall, Chantilly is a great high school with great diversity, teachers, and academics!
Chantilly High School is more of a home than a school; I enter it with a sense of safety, happiness, and excitement to see what I can accomplish next through my teachers' incredible craft of teaching and the various opportunities that can expand my knowledge, ranging from exploring the complexities of technology and machines in robotics, to sharpening journalistic skills in the school's newspaper, to understanding the key components of communication through the state champion debate team. Furthermore, the administrators and the teachers are open to understanding their students' perspectives and beliefs, creating a welcoming and warm environment. However, the expression of various viewpoints are hindered when there is a lack of diversity, as the school has 2 major ethnicities: white and Asian. With the different initiatives starting to take place to tackle this disparity, Chantilly High School's students can thrive in their respective fields and broaden their knowledge and skills.
Chantilly High school not only nurtures an environment for success, but the school especially prepares students for life beyond high school. Specifically, through all the electives the school offers. From Dentristry, which provides students the opportunity to intern as assistants at Dental Centers, to Cloud Computing, where students can achieve Microsoft Industry Certifications, the school simulates a work environment, preparing one for their dream profession. In addition, the mentor support with clubs associated with such co-curricular activities, such as FBLA and DECA, have consistently demonstrated to bring International winners in addition to a work ethic and professional skills required through one's beyond-school journey.
