The school Channel View School for Research does a great job with leading you to colleges. It gives you a insight of what's out there, not everything is in the books. They take plenty of college trips so that the students can start looking a colleges not only online, but by being on campus. The teachers and staff there don't give up on you even though sometimes you want to give up on yourself. The school does a good job with sharing since there's 6 schools in the building. They keep there students in check and organized by wearing uniforms, clearing the hallways at a certain time. It's a excellent school especially based on the community.

I’ve been in Channel View since 6th grade , I currently graduated from high-school their. I feel like the school personally didn’t prepare me for college nor supported me / the students in anything. I feel like the school was really about the image and how it looked on the outside , when in reality that wasn’t the case if you really looked inside the school everything wasn’t what they preached it to be. I feel like they put up a front so much. On the other hand I do feel like some of the teachers are good, they are their to help you the best way they know how with the resources they have. I also feel like they do try to have that group ness and closeness with school field trips field days school events shows etc etc.
It is a very good school academically with so many activities that students can participate in. It ensures students to push harder to earn great success. It definitely is a learning experience in this school as it prepares you for what your going to face with in life and how you can manage to strive for excellence. This school is above the state average in key measures of college and career readiness.

Even at schools with strong college and career readiness, there may be students who are not getting the opportunities they need to succeed.
