Chambersburg Area Senior High is a public school located in south central Pennsylvania. It is a very diverse school, that offers a variety of courses, opportunities, clubs, activities, and sports. It is a very large school with nearly 400 kids in each graduating class. The school and sports facilities are very nice and the teachers are very caring and supportive!
Chambersburg has a wide variety of classes and programs for students to get involved in. They also offer many sports programs as well as JROTC. This high school is larger, but the overall atmosphere is positive and most teachers are very invested in helping each and every student attain their goals. I am a member of the Trojan Band at CASHS, and this experience has been beyond amazing. Every school has its issues, however Chambersburg has been a fun experience and a great place to grow my education.
I attended this school for 3 years before taking all dual enrollment my senior year. Although, in my 3 years, I went through COVID and virtual learning and I'm sure that had something to do with the chaos. Anyway, I do not feel the high school is safe. My junior year we had a "fire evacuation" pretty much every day and a couple times we had 2 in one day. The teachers also lack a sense of involvement in the students mental health. I had very few teachers that truly seemed to care.
