Challenger School offers uniquely fun and academic classes for preschool through eighth grade students. Our students learn to think for themselves and to value independence—the results are unmatched.
THINKING SKILLS
Challenger School teaches students early on that they are responsible for their own learning and for their successes. Challenger’s emphasis on independent reasoning skills results in their students’ extraordinary academic performance.
POISE AND CONFIDENCE
Challenger students regularly speak and perform before their peers, teachers, and parents from preschool on. Challenger graduates often point to these experiences as the basis for success in college and the workplace.
UNMATCHED ACADEMIC RESULTS
Challenger students achieve scores on average well above the 90th percentile on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills. This means that Challenger’s average student outperforms nine out of ten students who take that test.

The Bedrock of Knowledge at Challenger School
To build a foundation, we teach reading—fundamental to learning; math—basic to technical/scientific fields; composition—key for communicating knowledge; history—needed to recognize patterns from the past; and logic—critical to integrate knowledge. To this bedrock of essential knowledge, we add science, speech, geography, music, computer, art, and PE, which contribute to a solid academic education.

Challenger School - Sandy Reviews
We had a terrible experience - this was the school where my 5 year old independent, self-confident daughter learnt self-blame, inferior feelings that she is not good enough, being critical and harsh with herself.
The teacher in whose class my daughter was, was awful. Most of the staff in this particular branch are awful. No one cares for your kid's overall wellbeing and development. All they care is grades. Their school is giving academic results, alright. But THAT'S IT ! If your child is feeling like crap, has difficulty in learning something - dont expect any warmth from teachers or any help. Dont be fooled into their seminars which they set up to show off about their school, children at other schools are doing good too, if not better. I was SO THANKFUL when I moved out of state and had to pull my child out.
Facility is old. The office administration is terrible.
