This is a great place to go to High School! The workload sometimes seems insurmountable, but the teachers are always willing to help! They truly do care about their students and will go out of their way to help you understand something! Most teachers actually have a sense of humor which makes the day much more enjoyable. The only complaints I have are about sports, however, when you come to Challenger you have to understand that you didn't come here for the athletics, you came to be challenged academically. I would recommend coming here to anybody that wishes to be challenged and anybody that doesn't believe that sports is the only thing that matters in High School.

Challenger Early College High School has taught me the importance of education and catching opportunities. The teachers at Challenger push their students to be the best version of themselves both academically and as citizens of society. Challenger staff instills good work ethic, manners, responsibility, and stewardship in their students!
Challenger Early College High School works with Catawba Valley Community College to provide college courses for their students and have them graduate with an associate's degree by the end of their high school career. Challenger also has a unique grading scale for their students. They use mastery-based grading which measures students by their knowledge of learning goals. This allows students to improve their work and actually retain what they learn. Challenger also offers a lot of support in both academics and counseling. They have at multiple study hall times in which students are encouraged to visit their teachers for extra help. When it comes to counseling, Challenger provides a monthly class in which a counselor talks to each grade level about mental health, bullying, stress, and etc. The counselors are also available every day and reach out to students very often. Challenger provides many sports and clubs for students and values student involvement. Challenger is like a family.
