Challenger Early College High School is a small school located on the Catawba Valley Community College campus. Students' freshman and sophomore years reflect those of a traditional high school. The majority of courses taken are standard high school courses and freedoms are limited. They cannot leave campus during school hours and they do not have access to CVCC's resources. However, juniors and seniors are given these college-like freedoms and take more classes than freshmen and sophomores, most of which are college-level. This school is a perfect opportunity for young adults to experience the freedoms and responsibilities of college life. The courses taken at Challenger help students transition from a high school to a college lifestyle. I am extremely grateful for all of the memories I have made and lessons I have learned during my time at Challenger, and I do not regret choosing this school at all!

Man, I loved this place, especially whenever I transferred here in 10th grade from Asheville NC. Initially I was somewhat reserved, and explorative at the same time, the nest environment was warm, friendly and conformable, predominately in the mornings. The teachers are very relatable, informative, concurred with the success of both their students, and the students of other faculty members as well. Overall, It was and still is a fantastic experience, and I'm a little bit sad to be graduating this semester, but life must go on. Still, this will be one chapter that I will no doubt, give thanks to The Lord for!
My experience at Challenger Early College High School has been very insightful. The things that I enjoy about Challenger are the family atmosphere, the supportive teachers, the diverse clubs, and the encouraging support that is given by everyone. Challenger is a smaller school, but it is as much a high school as the larger high schools. At Challenger, we support one another and if one of us falls, then either we all fall or we rally to help those who have fallen. The only issue I have with Challenger is the lack of opportunity for students who are athletes. Our sports programs are not as significant as those of bigger high schools.
