Chain of lakes colligate was a great school! I got to earn my Associates degree with ease. Though it was still hard at times because i was taking college classes as a junior and senior, I got to know what it would really be like to be a college student. Now going into college i feel confident. The only down part would be that your success really depends on you and your work ethic. But truly speaking there really is no downside to this school I really enjoyed my time over there!
The program at Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School is truly unique; it has challenged my intellect while simultaneously increasing my interest in learning. COL's partnership with Polk State College mimics a realistic college experience, providing you the opportunity to network with professors as well as getting you used to completing assignments according to college standards. However, I have encountered obstacles with the implementation of unnecessary courses introduced by the COL Staff. These courses allow students to obtain college credit; nonetheless, they do not meet AA requirements. Regardless, students are unable to unenroll from these courses and are forced to comprehend the meaningless content that's embedded within its modules. For example, one of the courses' main purposes was to educate on appropriate workplace behavior, such as interview etiquette. Nevertheless, this information proved to be useless as most students already maintained a part-time job.
Chain of Lakes is a great school and I seriously encourage students to apply here. You're in an environment with like-minded peers who want to succeed. The high school teachers and staff here are great! Some of the best I've ever had. Questions are encouraged and additional help is offered for most classes. There aren't exactly many opportunities for student activities like high school sports or clubs.
