The best part about Cerritos High School is that there is no hour requirements in order to graduate and the worst part would be that it is a little crammed and the school is just overall very small. But it does the job!
Providing a safe and welcoming environment: Ensuring that students feel safe and supported in school is essential to their academic and personal success. This can involve implementing comprehensive safety plans, building positive relationships with students, and providing support services such as counseling and social-emotional learning programs.
Offering a challenging and diverse curriculum: Schools should aim to provide a well-rounded education that exposes students to a wide range of subjects and learning experiences. This may include offering Advanced Placement (AP) and honors courses, as well as elective classes in areas such as the arts, technology, and career and technical education.
Encouraging extracurricular participation: Extracurricular activities such as athletics, music, clubs, and organizations can provide students with valuable experiences and opportunities to develop new skills and interests.

The teachers are friendly and willing to help, most keep their rooms open during break periods and try to get to know their students. The principal is very friendly and makes many on campus events fun. We don't really have a dress code, so overall people don't face judgement from on campus personnel. The campus is also quite diverse in cultures, but is primarily Asian. We're also directly across from the city's sheriff station. They don't happen often but we do have fights and people smoking or doing drugs in the hallways or bathrooms. Teachers from different departments only really know of each other through their students and the school has an issue with being transparent with campus problems and educational resources. The campus is incredibly small compared to other schools in our district and the placement of classrooms can be confusing. Parking is pretty sparse and many drivers make some "interesting" choices.
