I am currently a transitioning junior at CPEHS and I’m proud to attend this school. It is a small public high school in East Harlem, but it is staffed with motivating, supportive teachers and peers. I have been exposed to amazing opportunities and blessed to have teachers who’ve remained resilient despite the transition to online virtual classes. At this school, I’ve learned how to be a better leader and role model for my community and that with hard work, anything is attainable!

The student body here is incredibly diverse and competitive! Our students are collaborative and are always trying to find a way to better the CPEHS community. Although we lack resources for the arts, one of the best aspects of this school is our focus on college readiness. CPEHS college counselors will ensure that students are prepared for college both academically and FINANCIALLY. CPEHS is #1 - Period.
Central Park East High School hands sown has the most supportive administration, faculty and staff, allowing students to develop a sense of independence while having informed guidance. This high school offers a democratic environment where students and staff come together to accommodate the needs of the student population. CPEHS also has many clubs so that no one is left feeling excluded. I personally enjoyed being a Youth Counselor in my senior year, which is a program that assists seniors in the college process from personal statements to financial aid seminars.
