Central High School is my second home. I felt very comfortable, productive, and I've learned a lot throughout the time I spend there. The domain factor of Central is magnets; currently, we have more than 10 Magnet. I am a Pre-Med Magnet student, and I'm in love with the programs, teachers, and our HOSA clubs, etc. I'm glad that I have the opportunity to experience in the class, as well as all the volunteer and community service; that my teacher provided to us. Not only my magnet, but also all the teachers I know are super kind and helpful, but the most precise time is when they would always repeating until we understand; or asking if we are okay. Besides, they would never leave anyone behind, reminds us, and make sure we are on a good pace in everything. I am also lucky to join the Montessori program; it is a great place to learn and share about yourself and others, including both education and life experience. Thank you for helping me grow up in almost four years of high school!
Central is student need oriented and provides wonderful opportunities to excel in areas of interest. Magnets offer field specific learning and some courses include certification or college credit. Classes are offered at many levels to accommodate academic success for students. Extra curricular activities range from sports and debate teams to arts and wellness. There is a large variety of activities and clubs that do well to ensure scheduling does not conflict. Administration is very reachable and attentive to the voice of parents, teachers and students. However I would like to see more funding for the courses and activities that do so much for Central yellow jacket families and the community.
I have attended Central High School since graduating from middle school thus I have the experience to be able to write down a review for this school. Teachers in Central tend to be very understanding and, forgiving of students because they understand the economic and psychological toll the pandemic has created. The school is average when it comes to cleanliness because lots of areas of the school are very clean. For example, some of the stairs are very clean while others are less so. By far, the most important and the least predictable factor in rating a school are the students that attend them. My experience with students in Central is average. Some students' behavior tended to be very rude to teachers trying to help them while other students tended to be good towards teachers and other students. Diversity is very poor in Central because the majority of the students attending are from one ethnicity.
