My experience at Central has been nothing but amazing! One of it's best qualities is that the staff is wonderful, and take there time to get to know all of there students not only from a teacher perspective but as a friend and is a mentor to all! Each and every teacher and administrators are wonderful and greatly appreciated.
As a few others have stated, the administration focuses more on collecting hoodies, yelling at some students to take their ear buds off, and ranting about dress code issues they see in almost every frequent announcement RATHER than fixing problems by reasoning with students and parents. For some kids, hoodies and jackets are their only source of warmth. For dress code to continuously stricten when it is unnecessary, the decrease in school spirit has become more understandable. Also be wary that recent incidents during the school year with the "bathroom mirrors being blocked up" have diminished Central's reputation.

Not a lot of nice people at the school and it can be difficult to make friends. There’s always been this “black vs. white” unspoken concept at our school. The food is free for all students, so that’s a plus. But if your child has any trait(s) that may result them in being a target of being bullied, do not send them there. The counseling isn’t very good either. I had to email a counselor roughly 5 times over the course of a week to get them to finally respond.
