I moved here in Sophomore year and the students were pretty nice ans over the years I've definitely made some very good friends. As far as school the diversity is pretty low and becuase of that an understanding of other cultures is also pretty low. They also have an obsessive rule about earbuds in the hall, it's quite ridiculous; not to long ago phones were only allowed in certain areas of the school. The food is pretty average and the dress code is lenient unless a female's clothes are deemed distracting.

I enjoyed attending central high school because I felt welcomed by everyone. People get along well together so it makes the experience more enjoyable. However, it can be hard to get involved unless you put forth a lot of effort. There are a lot of people who don’t necessarily fit in to the activities/clubs we have. The administration could also do a better job of really listening to the students and taking what they have to say and offer into consideration.
I love Grand Forks Central High School. It's where I've grown the most personally, intellectually, and emotionally. The teachers here are amazing and care so much about the success of their students. They are always willing to help tutor you or just talk to you if you need someone. Most of the kids here are very kind and there are not really any cliques; most everybody gets along with each other. The one thing that bugs me about Central though is the hate we receive from other schools. You see, most of Central's students come from low-income families so a lot of other schools make fun of for being poor., but we have very good standardize testing scores and were voted the best school in North Dakota for the last three years and we have some good sports teams so whenever kids are bugging us we just go back at them with that and that normally shuts them up for at least a little while!
