My least favorite thing about the EVSC is the dress code. I dread getting dressed to come to school every morning because of the uncomfortable uniform of khakis and a collared shirt. How would it harm anyone's education to wear sweatpants and a regular T shirt? Bring your lunch if you can. The teachers here are 3/4 good, 1/4 not so good. I have had experiences where teachers will not teach the curriculum and therefore leave you unprepared for tests. The way we are taught is just to pass state exams and tests, there isn't much college readiness unless you teach it to yourself. The majority of students is immature, if you're introverted you probably will struggle here (I did at first). Counselors are cool and easy to talk to, but one of them doesn't respond to emails and makes you feel bad for asking questions. Administration allows absolutely no fun or messing around, so that always sucks. Our games are always fun, especially north side rivalry week.

Central is, for the most part, a very good school. Most of the faculty is friendly and some teachers are very helpful not only with schoolwork but also maintaining student mental health. The only issue is we have an issue with bullying and I don’t feel as if it is handled as well as it should be, which has caused numerous fights and unfortunate events to occur. Overall though, good school, friendly staff and students.
I enjoyed how the teachers seemed to enjoy the work they did. I also liked how we had so many extra curricular opportunities. One of the things I would alter about this school is how little they prepared us for college. While they had great classes such as a career class, our mandatory classes did not truly prepare us - test wise - for college. Some students I know left high school never truly knowing how to study for a test. However, I think that our school did a better job than most of the high schools in the area.
