Central Catholic High School has been in my home city of San Antonio and it is full of rich history and tradition. It is an all-boys Marianist Catholic High School that promotes the characteristics of leadership, integrity, respect and etiquette. Central Catholic has always promoted the idea of the "brotherhood" which is very much existent as I have formed very close bonds with so many of my fellow colleagues. Central Catholic is also a college preparatory school and that is something that I believe the schools exhibits very well. It offers a wide variety of very challenging classes for those who want to get a real insight to what college life is like. I made the choice to take these advanced classes and I truly believe that they have helped prepare me for the difficulty of the college classes that I will be taking this year. Central Catholic also offers a wide variety of clubs, extracurriculars and activities that its students can be involved in which allows for well rounded students
At Central Catholic the atmosphere and setting is very welcoming and positive. It is an all boys private school that teaches its students about brotherhood and forms boys into suitable men of society. My experience at this school so far has been great! I've been involved in football, baseball, and JROTC and my experience with those sports and nothing but good memories. I have nothing bad to say about my school and wouldn't change anything .
Central Catholic is an all boys college prep school. Here exists a proclaimed "brotherhood" of students, yet that goes unpracticed or undefined for many students. Central Catholic calls itself a Religious institution, yet that is far from the truth. There is no emphasis on the catholic aspect of this school, as masses and other faith based activities held are "textbook" and "un-engaging" for students. The religion classes are considered as classes to slack off in, and just seen as an easy grade. And in my times from being a freshman to being a senior, I have seen little change in how this institution conducts itself. This is not a private-Catholic School, this is a public school with the price tag of a private one.
