I love my school. It is an all boys school. The teachers and the brothers are very strict with everything. Discipline is enforced. It is a school that would allow the students to develop their talents. They can choose whether they just want to be a regular student or take advanced subjects to challenge themselves such as taking honor classes or AP classes. There are all kind of sports or organizations that the students can be a part of. We are encouraged to be well rounded so we can join the marching band, jazz band, debate club, robotics, fencing, and theater. We have a new STEM building for scientific and technical research.Diversity of students are observed. The location for me is convenient. We are safe since bullying of any kind is frowned upon. We also do volunteer works for the community.Central has good amenities and has a large although pricey cafeteria. And tuition is expensive, but its worth it.

Central Catholic Has some amazing teachers, some capable of making me enjoy a subject that I otherwise would not enjoy. The problem arises in some of the decisions the administration makes, and the general attitude of some students. The administration is becoming much harsher with the rules they enforce, primarily the technology censorship. I could understand certain cites, but I was not even able to listen to a speech from Shakespeare for a public speaking class I am taking. In addition to this, when someone has done something wrong, the administration has a habit of class-wide mass punishment in addition to punishing the individual or group in the wrong, if they punish that person or group at all. As for students, many of them are disrespectful for the sake of it and have an aura of arrogance simply for being there or having expensive shoe or the like.
After reading through the reviews I realized how much I have put up with at school. I loved attending central but Im not sure it was the place for me. It gave me a lot of great opportunities and using the school name to your advantage is something very important. However, if you dont come from a school where a lot of other guys are coming from and going to central you’re screwed. Even doing sports didn’t help me. I came in and made surface level friends but I still dont hang out with people from school. The teachers are great, I really recommend mr. Roche, Thomas, ms. Sal, mr. Retenauer, and a few others. TAKE CHALLENGING COURSES. I could have done way more with my high school career had I taken AP or Honors courses. There are so many cliques at school it’s unbelievable. If you dont go to shroom or play football then basically you’re lame and get bullied. Get involved with campus ministry because thats a great way to meet people who arent assholes.
