Overall, East is most definitely one of the top high schools in the state, if not the country.

Most of the teachers here are very qualified, but naturally you have some outliers. There are few teachers that you'll detest, but there are few that completely make up for it because they're just flat out amazing at teaching (Mr. Parfitt and Mrs. Sebestyen are by far the two greatest teachers I probably will ever have).

While the student population isn't exactly ethnically or sexually diverse, you still have students from all walks of life. Administration typically favors athletics (except for Mr. Hayes - it's awesome to see how much he supports the arts), but that doesn't mean the music programs here aren't anything less than extraordinary (especially the bands and choirs). You're bound to find something for yourself at East as long as you look in the right place.

C B East is a very academically competitive school. For the most part, everyone is committed to their schoolwork and tries their best to succeed in class. This competitiveness is not necessarily cut-throat, but in some instances it can be. The teachers are phenomenal. They take pride in the success of their students, and most enjoy getting to know students personally. Kids can be clique-y, but it's not hard to find your group. There are opportunities for many interests, and people usually find friend groups from within sports and clubs. Logistically, East is a nightmare. Only seniors can drive to school, and the parking lot has only one entrance and one exit, making the morning and afternoon drives an absolute mess. I live about 8 minutes away, and it takes me around 25 minutes to get to school when I drop off my sister down the road at Holicong.
Teachers and classes are challenging if you would like them to be, but there is a lot of support to do your best in all of these classes. No teachers are over the top with work, and they are all very helpful. The school does a great job preparing us for district and national exams. All of the students are hardworking, but supportive of one another. School spirit is very prominent, and the extracurricular opportunities are phenomenal.
