As someone who has attended several different kinds of educational institutions (online, private, public, charter), I truly believe that education is what YOU make out of it. Central Academy has caring staff who are willing to go above and beyond to meet your needs. While IB and AP curriculum aren't offered at this time, they willingly pay for students to take dual-enrollment college classes. As a rising senior, I will be graduating with around 40 college credits and will be well acquainted with the rigor of college-level courses. There are many opportunities to start your own extracurriculars, an endeavor the staff is more than willing to support you in. Whether you want to test out of a class, request to take additional college courses, or change your schedule, the staff is more than willing to help if you take the time to ask. While it is a smaller school, it carries a quaint and family-like charm and can become a launchpad for success for motivated students.
Central Academy is like a family. It's a small school where everyone knows each other. I have been in Central since fourth grade and have made a lot of friends in those years. The teachers there are incredibly nice and understanding of you. The school is mostly Arab but is open to everyone. There are not too many clubs in Central but I and some of my friends founded the Math club. We also have an Arabic club where we do stuff for the school. There is a National Honor Society, where you are selected if you have a GPA of above 3.5. There is Soccer and Basketball. Overall, it's a great school but the only bad part about is there are no IB/AP classes. I would definitely recommend it to someone.
Central Academy is a Poor school. The academics there is kind of below average. They don’t offer and AP classes and just regular classes that will not stand out on college applications. They way they treat their students is horrible. They are also racist and I do not recommend to anyone. They let the non-black kids say derogatory words and don’t do anything about it but when it’s black kids they act like it’s the end of the world. It was a regret decision for me to go there my freshman year of High school. Glad to say that I am moving on to a hopefully better school.
