Much like many other schools, Center Moriches is a tad bit overzealous when it comes to school sports and sadly that leaves academics to pale in comparison. As well, Center Moriches is not a very diverse school at all. The students can be very snobbish at times and have an issue with accountability. However, the teachers that wok here make up for it all. I've gone to three schools over my 17 years and I've yet to find teachers quite as compassionate and caring as the teachers at Center Moriches School District. Yes just as any district it has its share of bad teachers, but the good outshine the bad tenfold. The teachers here that want to go above and beyond, they take learning far past reading out of a book. center Moriches teachers are the type of teachers that would give you their lunch if you're not eating, their jacket if you're cold and would stay an extra hour to explain something. They've truly change my life for the better, and while there's room for improvement, I love CM
Center Moriches High School is a great school because the community is absolutely amazing. Everyone knows everyone because its not a particularly small school, but its not TOO small. Education is alright at best, and the newly introduced IB program is not helping their case. Still a solid option for a school, and Sports are pretty good
Center Moriches high school is a fantastic school. The teachers are all willing to help students when needed for homework and tests. There are clubs, honor societies and sports that are all great with a lot of students and teachers involved. The guidance counselors, school psychologist, school social worker, and head of disability services all helped me so much. The special education program is fantastic and is the reason I discovered my dream to become a special education teacher.
