Cedar Ridge was a great school and really helped make me feel prepared for college, especially my senior advisory. Participation can really effect your experience with the school and how much you get out of it but as long as you put the work in, it helps to reap the benefits! I also love the extra curricular activities, take advantage of all the school has to offer!

The school was built in 2001, so the facilities are very modern and the campus is quite nice. The administration is reasonably responsive to student feedback and sparing with severe punishment, regardless of what much of the whiny students looking for a scapegoat might tell you. Students have an hour-long lunch, giving them enough time to eat, socialize, and work on studies if they need to.The school has a diverse student body, so most any student will find a niche to feel at home, and yet the student body is not especially cliquey either.

However, some teachers have political slants to their curriculum and preach their beliefs to the class on both sides of the spectrum (but many more classrooms are liberally-slanted than conservatively-so). Some give "both sides", but make it unbalanced & clear which side is "right". It sickens me to see teachers feeding students their beliefs as facts rather than teaching them to think for themselves, regardless of which side they're on.
Cedar ridge is a good school with some wonderful teachers and amazings arts programs, however, the arts programs at cedar ridge are rather under-funded and rely very heavily on fundraising for most of the budget. Meanwhile the sports programs on the other hand have much more funding, even seeing them build a second gym last year which to me seems wholly unnecessary especially as it seems like it is barely ever used. Aside from this imbalance in the funding of programs at the school another thing I would like to see improved upon would be the fact that instead of trying to fix problems with the systems already in place the school seems to simply institute some new system every couple of months to try to fix things, simply adding in more flawed systems and making things potentially worse.
