I personally have loved my experience at CE Byrd. It is buzzing with life and opportunities of all kinds. Amazing teachers, although not all. Socially, it’s the way to go. There’s someone for everyone here! I say this with first hand experience. There are so many wonderful changes to find lifelong opportunities, and the school is more than happy to bring speakers, volunteer opportunities, military members, college advisors, and other great people to help you find your next step and get you involved with the community. I feel confident and prepared for college in every way.

I love the teachers! They are not only great teachers, but they care and love you! There's more to being a teacher than simply teaching and they display that very well! There are so many courses to take! We also have so many clubs and sports to join and play! We have really great school spirit, too! This is a place where you can both learn and have fun! Our security guards are really nice and want to make sure that we're safe while on campus! We also have the Math and Science Magnet program for students who are really good in those areas! We offer band and Talented Arts Programs as courses here and sports can be courses as well. There are many community service and academic clubs to join! There's no way to go to this school and not be involved in something! There's so much to do!
My experience with C.E. Byrd High School has been absolutely amazing. The first day I entered the hallways of my school, I felt so welcome and like I was always meant to be there. The teachers greet you with such joy and happiness. Posters fill the walls that exclaim, "Welcome! We're so glad your here and can't wait to spend the next year with you." Fellow students introduce themselves and help you if you are lost. The spirit at C. E. Byrd High School is so great. On game days, all students dress up to a theme and sit in a student section. There is confetti thrown into the air. Our mascot is the Yellow Jackets and our student section at the game is named "The Hive." The Hive contains dressed up students and lots of screaming. I am so glad I chose my school and I would never want to go anywhere else. I have more opportunities to fulfill my desires than I would have at any other school. As a senior, I am cherishing every last moment I have at C.E. Byrd High School.
