Good school! Great teachers! Very helpful and safe. They truly care for the students and want the best for them. Great language program and the auto program. The foreign language teachers are amazing, there is also a lot of opportunities to do exchange programs and study abroad that students should take advantage of. This school is very diverse and everyone is nice. I wish they would have prepared us for college a bit more, and explained the college process like applying, the common app, and encouraged students to apply to four-year universities. That is one aspect they lack on a lot, during senior year it feels as if you're on your own because there is no one really that explains especially to first-generation students. They should encourage more students to take AP classes and have events talking about college to minorities. Overall, it is a very safe place and if you join the programs Hylton offers you will get the most out of the school. Their athletic sports teams are really good

My experience attending C.D. Hylton High was both extremely exciting and a bit disappointing. As a student who loved to get involved there weren’t many opportunities to be found. The clubs were inconsistent and a bit bland. However, throughout my years as a student the staff was great and passionate about their teaching. I have never had a teacher who I would be wishing to avoid. Hylton ensures that their staff is fit for the job and has the right mindset to create an environment students would want to be in. Excellent school, I am very proud of being a BullDawg!
My son is attending this school and will graduate this year. Overall, this is an excellent school, with many opportunities for students to do well. I am particularly impressed with the orchestra program, as my son has been playing the bass since 5th grade and continue to be inspired by his teacher, Mr. Brown. I am confident that my son is prepared to do well at the university level, and HHS has a lot of credit to take for his accomplishments. Go Bulldogs!
