The time that I spent at Cave Spring High School was quite worthwhile. I became more intelligent than I could have thought possible thanks to it. The knowledge that I gained from the classes that I took is interesting and practical, and the teachers were really enjoyable and taught their material well. I was especially pleased with the AP classes due to the amount of subjects taught in the curriculum, and how much I learned from them as a result. The elective classes that I took in high school, such as JROTC and jazz band, allowed me to explore my interests and use my skills, knowledge, and talents in ways they're not used in a normal classroom setting. The time that I spent at the school was well spent with learning new concepts and gaining new knowledge, whether it be through lectures or homework assignments; acquiring new skills and honing the ones I have, and making myself a more talented, intelligent, and well-rounded individual.
The teachers at Cave Spring High are passionate about their students and jobs. Unfortunately, we are not in the best learning environment because of the rebuilding of our building. We are temporarily in outdoor trailers that can be compact and difficult to move around. The situation certainly puts a damper on our school spirit but the Knights will fight!
As a college student, I feel that CSHS never prepared me well enough. Education wise, yes. In all other aspects, no. I feel that teenagers seeking higher education should be fully aware of their future with college and how it will work. Like other high school students, no one in my family went to college; I have no educational support from my relatives. Because of this, I think CSHS needs to prepare their students for college life. I feel so unaware in college now, and I have a hard time finding help from anyone. My only sources of information come from the internet and my friends with college-educated parents. I believe my parents are not to blame, but my high school is.
