The school overall is a good school, there are minor improvements that I wish to see happen, but don’t we all wish that for our schools. The only thing I could say bad about the school is that the school lunch needs massive improvements, and when it comes to seniors and the whole college race, they need more resources that can help them. Being a senior myself I felt like I was alone when it came to college preparation time, my parents didn’t know much about the whole process, so I had to do it on my own. Catskill high school makes you feel like a family, when you walk down the hall your greater by teachers all the time, administration knows you by name and it makes you feel like you are able to talk to them on a personal level, which is really nice when it comes to the hardships of high school.
Catskill High School is a decent school in a decent area. The education is decent and most of the teachers are really kind and good. The school has decent sports, clubs, and other music and art programs. The only thing I really dislike is the food. I also wish there were more AP/honors courses.
Not much alternatives to pick at lunch, they should have more variety. More security with kids smoking everywhere.
