International students are forced to take supplemental English classes. There are several art classes as well as Ap classes. Some teachers do not speak fluent English making it hard to understand. However, there are some willing to spend some extra time for students. The campus is small and there is usually nothing going on. If there is any event students are forced to attend. The dorms (very poor) are literally 200m from the school. The campus is in a safe town, Braintree, 40 min away from Boston. There are of course some humble and hard-working students seeking to get accepted into a good college, but most students come from wealthy families from their respective countries and do not care about academics. Students lack English skills. I would only recommend going if you just want to have fun. There is no motivation for studying, neither student life. The food is ok for the American paladar. Bad environment, involving drugs and discrimination. High tuition. Lack of facilities.

My experience at CATS has been pleasant, to say the least. Visiting the school in 8th grade left me wide-eyed and excited for my future at the school. I have cultivated great relationships with many of my teachers, and many of the students at CATS. I started in 9th grade, and I was coming from a school where they taught us to do the bare minimum to get by. I recieved my first grade below an A that year, and I worked harder to make sure that I got my grade back up. The satisfaction that I felt after seeing what I was capable of was enough to make me want to keep it up. Soon enough, the workload that had once seemed tedious to me felt like normal as the years progressed. The higher work level and the fact that my teachers weren't trying to make things easier, but harder to prepare us for college and the real world, forced me to push myself more and become more independant.
Very much like the school diversity and academic approach. It has a lot of international students from different countries, and a strong sense of community between all the people. As for academics, you can choose from a variety of different classes of different difficulty levels, which is very good for international students willing to stay in United States. College counseling service is great, even though they have a lot of students, they are doing a great job
