I went to Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School for all four years of high school and enjoyed every minute of it. I was heavily involved in many activities on campus and there really were opportunities available for all interests. I participated in sports, honor societies, clubs, campus ministry and retreat team, and being an ambassador for the school. I am currently a freshman at Virginia Tech and can say without a doubt that Bishop Sullivan prepared me very well for being a college student. Although I may not have enjoyed the course load or high expectations of teachers, I realize now that they were just preparing me for college life and I am so thankful. Bishop Sullivan offers many opportunities for your child to flourish in faith, fellowship, academics, and other activities. The teachers are always willing to lend a helping hand and genuinely care about your child's well-being. I am so blessed to have gone to Bishop Sullivan and your children will be too!

It is because of how CHS handled the transition and how prepared the students and faculty were for the change to online learning that we are enrolling our 10th grader this year to complete her high school years at CHS. The difference in the readiness between what we experienced in the public sector and what we witnessed our friends’ experiences to be was night and day. We want our child to have better than a 9th grade education and CHS is 100% the path at this point. Looking forward to a great year!
Good curriculum and good teachers (although some are a little lazy to actually care about teaching their students). Very clean and wonderful community, everyone is welcome. However, there is little in terms of extracurricular activities and clubs, most clubs on the school's website are either mediocre or do nothing at all, and the school is very obstinate in terms of budget for organizations to thrive. Athletics are alright. The administration is very uptight with menial rules, their presence makes students very uncomfortable. Also, there is a lot in terms of scandals (no principal for half a year, issues with TCIS, hiring a past child sex abuser). And, most students here are very unmotivated, and diversity is not great at CHS. Overall, if you want your child to find something they're passionate about and something to pursue academically, don't send them here. If you want your child to focus on their spiritual growth and religious education, send your child here.
