Over the past year, my experience at Cathedral high school has immensely transitioned into a better one. I have personally learned a lot about myself and about the world around me by going to Cathedral. In going to Cathedral I have also been able to discover and pursue something that I am not only good at but also love to do, which is art. Over the last year, the school has grown in both an academic and social level. Though the school struggles in providing a rigorous education, it instills traits of independence in its students. I would definitely recommend Cathedral to anyone who is looking to go here but I would give the advice of being true to yourself.

Cathedral is a good school for kids who are looking to have a fun High school experience. Now adding to that the academics are average if not below average. The teachers are up and down and there is too much drama surrounding the school it self. The student community and sports is what holds the school together, but recently sports have taken a big drop. Overall you can do well in the world I believe from seeing and hearing about it.
Cathedral is a very safe school in a very nice location. However, you're paying for a low quality education. Seniors this year read 1984, which is commonly read in 8th grade. Although students are extremely kind and friendly, most of them don't care about learning. Our SAT scores fall below the national average because no one is learning yet they still "earn" wonderful gpa's for sleeping in class. I was fortunate to go to another high school beforehand that helped me to get a strong SAT score and actually learn from the classes I was taking. The teachers at Cathedral really do try however most of their efforts do not pay off. Sports are the saving grace of this school and many students participate in school sports/ earn athletic scholarships for college.
