For the most part, the teachers are well qualified and prepared to do anything for their hardworking students, especially in AP and College Dual Enrollment classes. The administration, however, is ridiculously out of touch with their students and the well-being of the campus. Counselors and teachers are aware of the students whose families are high donors to the school, and those students are given special treatment. Student life is miserable, as people are forced to conform to a very specific ideal. The treatment of students who are minority groups, LGBT, not devoutly Catholic, on financial aid, or otherwise differing from the white, born-again, rich, and shallow majority is abysmal and would warrant legal action if this wasn't a private school. Even faculty is discriminated against for being part of some minority. Admin wants people to believe that Cathedral is a diverse school that cares about all of its students, but it is all talk.

I loved everything about my high school. I loved how CCHS made sure to include everyone in everything and made sure no one got left behind. This school really goes above and beyond to make sure the students feel comfortable and to make sure that its students are being led towards a path of success. This school made me feel like I was able to conquer anything and it made me feel like I was only heading towards great things in my future. I love how they take the curriculum very seriously and if someone is falling behind, they do whatever they can to help. I loved Cathedral Catholic High School so much! When I have children, I am definitely investing my money into my children's education because I experience what Cathedral Catholic did for me.
Cathedral Catholic is nearly everything you can ask for out of a high school. The academics, sports, catholic environment, and amazing facilities I believe make it the best school in the San Diego county without a doubt. Being a hispanic student, I notice the lack in diversity first hand, but its nothing of bother or segregation. The community Cathedral offers is amazing, being a relatively smaller school, but bigger catholic school gives it the family feel wherever you are on campus. My time at Cathedral has been unmatched to any of my peers experiences at other high schools and I would highly recommend Cathedral as a the premier high school in San Diego.
