The teachers do not take into consideration what the students do in other classes so you often end up with several essays and projects due all on the same day. The math program is also very poor, quite a bit of students leave the classroom more confused then when they came. The History/Social Studies program is excellent! I am not big on the subject but the teachers make me excited to learn! The English program is also great, since a lot of the teachers alctually go through topic that students are expected to have learned before but were never taught, such as how to analyze.

I love the environment however there is always problems with the math department. We have very interactive programs that are unique and interesting but I wish there was more programs like these. The teachers I have had over all are really helpful and I have never really had a problem with them. Academic wise, some subjects seem kind of useless and a waist of time, for example the Unit circle subject during math but I understand we need to have a diverse education. School spirit is high; always nice to see our STUDCO coming up with new spirit week actives and hyping the crowd up during our pep rallies. The snacks at the snack bar are a good selection even if the lunch really isn't that great!
Well it wasn't until recently that Cataline Foothills High School became really strict. It is a closed campus now meaning that students are not allowed to leave campus for lunch, which negatively impacted the local nearby restaurants within walking distance. I also disagree with how the math department handles things. They refuse to offer partial credit now on assessments, bringing the grades of everyone at the school significantly lower than in comparison to other schools in Tucson. They are not very welcoming to new, incoming students; often times it is compared to a prison rather than a school.
