I originally come from a school in New York, where the school needed ID's to go in, you had to walk through metal detectors, and your backpack was checked for drugs or any arms. Constant new on threats and fights at least twice a week. Where I come from, high school was definitely survival of the fittest. When I was told I would start a new school I was scared, I mean all my friends were in a completely different state, but this school was so welcoming. I actually felt safe. The environment feels so nice and the teachers are so supportive and great at interacting with the students. The school system was so stress free and supported students in any area. I have seen so much about economic help and opportunities to advance academically. I have seen and experienced so much that I probably wouldn't have experienced in my old district. I thank God because going to Cass was one of the biggest blessings I've ever had. At this point, I have no complaints.
At Cass High school I enjoyed the diversity. I was the second generation of my family to attend Cass High school. My older sister left behind so many good memories with my new teachers. Once the teachers realized whom my sister was, they treated me as if they already knew me. After my sophomore year My high school experience was cut short do to Covid. I missed one year of in person school. When I returned the following year I was ready to get back to normal. The teachers were awesome. The school that I had missed was just the way I had left it. I loved getting back into the groove of things. I looked forward to the many different things that the school offered upon returning. I will never forget as time was coming to the end of my senior experience the many activities that I enjoyed with my fellow classmates at my side. I enjoyed every bit of our time as we knew that our lives were about to be changed forever. My Graduation day at Cass high will forever be in my memory.
I am a senior at Cass High School and I absolutely love it here! The school has a real family-feel to it and the students are very welcoming. I actually transferred here from Woodland Highschool and the students and staff here took me in as if I had always attended this school. I love it here a lot, however there is always room for improvement. I feel as if the girls sports here at Cass do not get the same love and support that the boys teams do. I believe that girls deserve to be cheered on too, as we our also athletes and we also represent the school. That is really the only thing negative I can say about my experience here at Cass High. Overall, I feel like this school is home and that I will forever bleed blue and gold.
