I loved all three and a half years that i spent at Cascade high school. I went to another school for my freshman first semester and had a horrible experience. Right as I got to cascade I felt invited in and important. I wouldn’t say that there’s much to change other than there isn’t much diversity as to different clubs. I would love to see a greater amount of clubs that can include all sorts of people! I would truly recommend Cascade to anyone who feels like they don’t belong in their school that they’re at already. It truly is like a second home and the people there are absolute blessings.
Cascade Senior High School is a great small school. Cascade has a student population of around 500. Cascade has an amazing sports program with our Boys Soccer Team being semi-state runner ups and our Baseball Team not losing one game and being conference champions . Besides sports Cascade has an amazing academic program. The best thing about the program is because Cascade is very small the student to teacher connection is exceptional. Having that connection allows for a more in-depth learning environment because the teacher can apply the learning to the student on a more personal level. Besides the sports and academic programs the administration at Cascade is one of the best. Our administration really works with the student and teachers to help make our school the best it can be. In our clubs like Student Council, we work with the administration the help our school. Cascade being National Blue-Ribbon winners helps prove our point that our school is one of the best.
I spent my whole life in this district, and I've had a good experience. I would say some things that need to change are the counseling services we provide. Rather than just having scheduling available in the guidance office, I'd like to see us work towards having therapist services offered, and to see more of an effort made to meet with students 1 on 1 about their future plans. Some good things I experienced were the 1 on 1 time that I had access to with my teachers since the school population is so little.
