I enjoyed my time at Casa Grande Union High School. The band program is one of the best in the state, and offers many opportunities to its students to show off their musical abilities through regional auditions, festivals, marching band competitions, honor bands, and a trip to play in Europe. AP courses are taught by teachers who have been in the position for many years and teach the right things so that their students can succeed. The various CTE programs also offer opportunities to its students to look into their specific career path with hands on labs.
Some of the student body, however, do not care too much for their academics. This makes normal classes annoying since the students sometimes disrespect their teachers. If their was a better outlook on teaching and learning, this school could easily become the best in Casa Grande.

The first three years I attended Casa Grande Union High School I felt like I wasn't learning every day. It was about three out of my six classes that I was learning on a daily basis. The teachers are caring and kind but not all teachers find ways to keep students motivated or intellectually busy. I also felt that not all the teachers I had found ways to challenge my thinking and ways of learning. It was my last year at Casa Grande Union High School that the school got a new principle to lead. The environment of the school changed for the better. Students and teachers alike became more motivated to better the school and way of learning. There is still work to be done to ensure that students are being challenged to learn everyday, but the school has surely improved.
Overall the staff is very good a lot of them care about the students, while some are there it seems just for a pay check. The food is okay me and my friends sometimes couldn't eat it because the meat was pink, they ran out of food or it just didn't satisfy us. The cafeteria is small for the amount of students at one lunch period let alone the whole student body. There are not enough chairs for everyone to sit so sometimes we wpuld have to share or stand the whole lunch period. The technology is okay, but seems like it needs a update for newer computers. Classroom sizes are sometimes way to large to where students wouldn't have desks or chairs to sit.
