Cary Academy is a very great environment. The middle school is very underrated, but it is the best part about the school! The 8th grade teachers are especially great. The high-school has a wide variety of classes and a very good leadership team. The history department is one of the best departments at our school. Due to their efforts of bettering the math and science departments, a new S.T.E.M. building is being built.

Cary Academy is a college-preparatory institution, as it is academically rigorous.
Yet, it is well balanced and more collaborative than competitive (GPA is not calculated and there is no class rank). One of the many things that drew me to Cary Academy was its use of technology. By giving each student a tablet, the scope of learning is truly limitless, allowing for a phenomenal application of this tool. The only thing I would like to see changed is regarding class size or diversity, for I feel this aspect could be worked on.
Cary Academy is an academically challenging Community of gifted students. It provides a wide variety of opportunities for all students are varying skills. it is small enough that everyone can gain The experience of winning and losing and making mistakes through team sports, and creating through the arts. A plurality of students come from the Raleigh School, so the school has a culture of kindness, Curiosity, inclusiveness and community service. Adapting to technology in daily life is a focus given that each student is issued a computer and much of their homework and instruction comes through electronic applications.
