Carver Magnet High School is a wonderful school. I've been going to Carver since my Freshman year and it's been amazing! I've learned so much within my last four years going here. The teachers are wonderful, you have teachers that personal connection with you and get involved with anything that you're doing. I highly recommend anybody that Carver is an outstanding high school. Carver has prepared me for college with everything that I've learned. The classes are different from any other high school. The students actually get a taste of college; I love how the teachers treat us as if were college students already. I never thought about going to any other high school besides Carver it's a one in a lifetime experience for a teenager.

My favorite thing about Carver was the culture there. Carver is so diverse when it comes to that. When I talk about culture, I'm talking about the students there, the interests, the cliques, the strands, the different personalities, it's just different and it's no ordinary high school. The main focus there is the visual arts and engineering and we excel in both of them. When it comes to describing Carver, there's no other way to describe it but saying, "Carver." When I first got there, I thought it was just another ghetto school in the hood with high gang activity. But when I actually spent some time there, I just fell in love with the school and the culture. People who have different personalities from one another mesh so well together it's crazy. It may not look like it when you're looking from the outside in, but every student there helps each other and it doesn't matter who you are.
My favorite part of Carver High School is the growth that is seen from most students, we learn to mature with feedback that is given to us by the teachers. The teachers always encourage us to do our best and reach for success. A few things that I'd like to change are the school spirit and our participation in more activities, Carver High School has participated in many competitions but I know that we could do better if the students were more motivated. If our different departments were to come together and congradulate eachother for eachother's success, it would help motivate other students and we'd have more achievements.
